Sixth Annual Alumni Tennis Event
12pm, Macalester Outdoor Tennis Courts
Tennis alumni are invited to the sixth annual alumni tennis event. Double play will be combined into Varsity vs. Alumni (men's/women's/mixed), Alumni vs. Alumni (men's/women's/mixed), Alumni/Varsity vs. Alumni/Varsity (men's/women's). Matches will take place in two time slots, Noon-2:00 p.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m. To sign up, email Mike Vidmar '89 including your group preference (men's, women's or mixed) and who you'd like to play against (alumni or varsity).
Minnesota Tartan Day Honors Macalester College Pipe Band
3pm, Minnesota State Capital, St. Paul
Come and see the Macalester College Pipe Band be recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Minnesota Tartan Day Committee. The band will be honored for entertaining audiences and collecting top prizes in the U.S. Pipe Band circuit for over 60 years. All alumni of the pipe band are invited to step in with the current roster of 30 to play a special Tartan Day set of Scotland the Brave, Murdo's Wedding, and Wings. So, bust out your pipes and dust off the kilt and help us celebrate 60 years.
