Girl Friday Productions presents The Skin of Our Teeth, the Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece by Thornton Wilder, produced by Kirby Bennett '82. The play is an optimistic tribute to the invincibility of the human spirit and a comedy of epic proportions! Following the show will be a Q & A with the producer, director and members of the cast. $18 per person, includes ticket and post-show refreshments.

Zimbabwe's Chiwoniso opens for Lura, whose sound embraces French Afro-pop, Brazilian rhythms and traditional African music. Our group gathers at 5:30 p.m. near our orange and blue balloons on the lawn for the concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. Bring blankets, food and drinks to share, lawn chairs, and anything needed to enjoy a concert in the park. Alumni College Summer Session 2009 - Opening Reception
The Alumni College Summer Session 2009, Islam and the Middle East, begins. Join alumni on campus for three days of lively learning and discussion as you explore traditions and tenets of Islam and its continuing influence on the boundaries, political movements, and cultures of the modern Middle East. Sociology Professor Khaldoun Samman serves as dean of this Summer Session, which features distinguished faculty members from Macalester and other colleges.
