DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, Feb. 20 (Presidents Day) join us at Macalester College at 12 p.m. to sip coffee\, enjoy some lunch\, and discuss our country&rsquo\;s most pressing environmental issues with Congresswoman Betty McCollum.Representing Minnesota&rsquo\;s 4th district &mdash\; which includes Saint Paul and many surrounding communities &mdash\; Congresswoman McCollum has long been a champion for Minnesota&rsquo\;s environment\, often in the face of extreme political opposition. Last year\, the U.S. House launched a massive assault on our environment\, voting 191 times to erode critical environmental protections like the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act.Join Environment Minnesota and MPIRG on Monday\, Feb. 20 to talkwith the congresswoman about how to defeat these ongoing attacks on our environment and move forwardwith solutions. From global warming and the controversy over the Keystone pipeline to the pollution of Minnesota&rsquo\;s lakes and rivers\, we are facing serious environmental challenges right now. On the 20th\, our community will come together and talkwith Congresswoman McCollum about how to achieve the cleaner environment that we envision.
