We aim to celebrate the contributions of the humanistic disciplines to the liberal arts\, to foster a sense of community and shared intellectual enterprise among humanities faculty\, and to learn more about each other's work. \; The 2011-12 series includes Neil Chudgar (English) on September 20\, Chris Wells (Environmental Studies and History) on October 18\, Susanna Drake (Religious Studies) on November 15\, Satoko Suzuki (Asian Languages and Cultures) on February 21\, Duchess Harris (American Studies) on March 6\, and Brian Lush (Classics) on April 17.
