DeWitt Wallace Library 264
Register to talk virtually with Lillie Carlile '13 about working in public health.
After graduation, Lillie moved to Kentucky to work for CDC’s Public Health Associates program, where she was placed at a county health department and worked on injury prevention and multimodal transportation projects. After a year, she moved back to the Twin Cities and worked for a clinic in Northeast, coordinating and teaching a diabetes prevention program and also sexual health education classes to middle-schoolers. Two years ago, Lillie moved to Philadelphia, where she worked at a clinic as a case manager for HIV+ patients. Lillie is currently enrolled in UPenn’s Accelerated BSN/MSN program. She will finish up the bachelor’s portion in December and is planning on working in a hospital as a nurse for a year or two before finishing the master’s degree. The end goal is to work as a nurse practitioner in a primary care clinic. She'd also definitely like to talk about the challenges of the first year after college, and answer any other questions the students may have.
