Forum on French and Francophone Internships

12:00 PM  - 1:00 PM
Tuesday Oct 17, 2017
Neill Hall (formerly Humanities Building) 402

Are you interested in using your French in an internship setting?  Wondering about possibilities for internships here in the Twin Cities or while abroad in France or a francophone region?   Please join us at our roundtable discussion on internship possibilities in French to learn about opportunities in the Twin Cities and on several programs abroad in Belgium, France, and Senegal. You will hear about several students' experiences with French-language internships in a variety of areas: biology, anthropology, education, and human rights.

Kate Larson, Assistant Director, Career Development Center will discuss what kinds of skills are needed and how you can receive college credit for your internships that can count toward your major or minor in French and Francophone Studies.

The following students will speak about their internships: Miranda Harris (Institut Pasteur, Paris-IFE), Andrea Kvietok (Advocates for Human Rights, Twin Cities and Point d'Accueil des Réfugiés et Immigrés, Dakar) and Emma Mullen (Ramsey Middle School Immersion Program).

Please RSVP, to Theresa Klauer, as we will serve a light lunch.
