New Faculty Orientation (Syllabus Design Workshop)

9:00 AM  - 11:30 AM
Wednesday Aug 20, 2014
Jan Serie Center for Scholarship and Teaching (Room 338), DeWitt Wallace Library

The Syllabus Design Workshop will show how syllabus design is an important document that sets your vision for the course as well as expectations for student performance. During the session, we go over some general guidelines and items you should consider including in your syllabus, and then provide you with an opportunity to get feedback on your syllabus draft from other participants.  I’ll also show you some examples of innovative syllabi that we think increase the likelihood that students will read and refer to their course syllabi.
