A Prairie Home Companion and Garrison Keillor are returning to Macalester for a 40th Anniversary Celebration on July 4, 5 and 6.  The show's first broadcast was made from Macalester’s Janet Wallace Fine Art Center on July 6, 1974.

Saturday’s broadcast is sold out, but the Friday concert still has limited tickets available at $25.  More info can be found on the Prairie Home Companion site.

In addition to the outdoor concerts on the Great Lawn and Shaw Field, the Weyerhaeuser Memorial Chapel and Mairs Concert Hall will also host free performances on all three days.  Shaw Field will host local food vendors, five food trucks and other activities.  The Leonard Center Alumni Gymnasium will show Prairie Home films and slide shows on Friday and Saturday, and host a sing-a-long with Garrison on Sunday morning.
