Chautauqua: Glaciers and Rivers and Lakes, Oh My! Tales of geology research in Glacier National Park and beyond
- 10:15 AM
Wednesday May 21, 2014
JB Davis Lecture Hall, Lower Level, Ruth Stricker Dayton Campus Center
Facilitator(s): Kelly MacGregor, Associate Professor & Chair of Geology
Kelly MacGregor wants to convince you that geology is not always about rocks! She'll be presenting the ins and outs of her research with students in Glacier National Park, where she's been conducting research on climate, glacier behavior, environmental change and the influence of humans on the landscape. Images of beautiful mountainous landscapes and crazy fieldwork included. Bring your questions and stories about glaciers, rivers, and all things surface processes!
