Support Recovery and Rebuilding Efforts in the Philippines

Alexander Hill Ballroom, Kagin Commons

Recently the most powerful tropical cyclone of the year hit the Philippines. Beyond the immediate needs of food, water, shelter and medical treatment, Filipinos need the assistance of the global community to rehabilitate and rebuild.

Join Twin Cities artists and residents as they work together with the Philippine Center of Minnesota to raise funds to support typhoon recovery in the Philippines. Through a night of art and reflection we will come together to raise awareness of the Philippine’s great need and our shared responsibility to help them build back better. Hosts include Cecilia Martinez Miranda ’13 and American Studies Professor Karin Aguilar-San Juan.

There is a $20 suggested donation for tickets, with proceeds going to The Philippine Center of Minnesota. In the spirit of Filipino camaraderie, we hope to make this event as accessible as possible. If you cannot afford a standard ticket, you are welcome to pay what you can. Every dollar makes a difference. Tickets are available here:

Come stand with the Philippines. Together we can overcome.
