Mass Atrocity Response and Humanitarian Intervention

On Saturday, November 2, Colonel (retired) Dwight Raymond of the US Army Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute will come speak about UN Peacekeeping, humanitarian intervention, and protecting civilians in conflict zones.  There will be a lecture, followed by a question-and-answer session in both lectures

When: Saturday, November 2 in JBD.

Session 1: UN Peacekeeping and Protecting Civilians in Conflict Zones. 10:30 AM - 12:00  **Coffee and pastries for morning session**

Session 2: Humanitarian Intervention and Syria.  1:30 PM - 3:00 PM

Colonel Raymond is the US Army's lead expert on humanitarian intervention and mass atrocity response operations.  He has worked with the United Nations and international NGOs to write policies and doctrines for UN Peacekeeping Operations and protecting civilians in conflict zones.
