A discussion with Dr. Wessam El-Meligi, Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics
Since 2011 Egypt has gone through upheavals and turmoils, attempting to overthrow a police state, a military state and religious state, literally three regimes in three years. This, however, is far from over. The international community, the regional forces, the people themselves with their aspirations and anger, are all involved in one of the most ancient multicultural societies in history. This talk can only attempt to touch on some of the main features of the endeavor of a nation to reshape itself.
