Nancy Stout will speak on her book, One Day in December: Celia Sánchez and the Cuban Revolution. Celia Sánchez played a key role in the Cuban Revolution, and in the new state's administration.

Nancy Stout gained unprecedented access to Cuba's revolutionary archives, and over a period of ten years interviewed friends, colleagues and comrades of Celia Sánchez, to create a book that illustrates her passion for the people of Cuba and her contribution to modern Cuban society.

Nancy Stout is a writer and photographer in New York City, currently employed as a Reference Librarian at Fordham University.
