International Roundtable 2013: Global Health: Promoting Equity Within and Across Borders
- 2:50 PM
Saturday Oct 12, 2013
The theme for the 20th annual International Roundtable is "Global Health: Promoting Equity Within and Across Borders." The event will promote critical examination of recent progress, and existing and emerging challenges in Global Health. Speakers and student-led workshops will explore the multifaceted nature of health disparities around the world, examine the root causes of these disparities, and highlight innovative solutions to health priorities. The dates are October 10-12, 2013, immediately preceding Family Fest.
The final day of the International Roundtable will be filled with more engaging student workshops. From 12:15 to 1:20 pm there will be workshops about social responsibility and the pharmaceutical industry, as well as violence against women.
The second set of student workshops will be from 1:40 to 2:50 pm, ranging from water and sanitation in Sierra Leone, to medical mapping, to health and development financing. See the detailed Roundtable schedule for specific room locations.
Don't miss the final day of the Roundtable!
