Join the Lealtad-Suzuki Center for "Soup & Substance." November's topic is "Beyond the Individual: Exploring Heteropatriarchy in Bullying Behavior."

This month we will be preview the documentary short "The Boy Game," and engage in facilitated dialogue about the ways in which the systems of heterosexism, cisgenderism, and patriarchy contribute to bullying behavior in youth. "The Boy Game" explores the culture of toughness, silence, and narrow definitions of masculinity that boys and men live by, and it unpacks the dynamics that lead some boys to bully others while the majority remain silent bystanders.

"Soup & Substance" is a monthly lunch series sponsored by the DML that is designed to bring students, staff, and faculty together to engage in conversations about identity, culture, and community.
