12:00 PM  - 1:00 PM
Friday Apr 19, 2013
Jan Serie Center for Scholarship and Teaching (Room 338), DeWitt Wallace Library

Zornitsa Keremidchieva (Political Science), Catherine Batza (History), and Ellen Holt-Werle (Library) will present  “Dust Off: What we can learn from teaching the archives."  What happens when you present a group of students with a big box of stuff? How do "things" become "evidence"? What can students and teachers learn from working with primary materials? These are some of the questions that Keremidchieva, Batza, and Holt-Werle will explore as they share their experiences with using archival materials in their courses. All faculty are welcome.  Lunch will be provided.
