Bill McKibben will be visiting the Twin Cities on Feb. 20th and 21st, on his way to ski the 2012 American Birkebeiner in Wisconsin on Feb. 23. Bill is an author, a Scholar in Residence at Middlebury college, and the founder of the international climate change campaign 350.org.
On Feb. 20th, in the evening, Bill will give a public presentation at University of St. Thomas. The following day, Thursday the 21st, Bill will be at Macalester. His schedule at Macalester is:
11:00 - 11:45 - lunch with students
12:00 - 1:00 - Enviro Thursday presentation in the chapel, "Celebrating and Preserving Winter, a call to action to slow climate change"
1:00 - 2:30 - Panel discussion with student leaders, followed by Q & A, news conference, and book signing
2:30 - a cross-country ski send-off to the Birkie
