Tea & Topics is an initiative, sponsored by the Gender & Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC) and the WGSS Department, which strives to provide the Macalester community with a monthly event surrounding the theme of gender and sexuality.  Tea & Topics allows faculty and staff to share their work, research, and/or experiences regarding gender and sexuality with Macalester students.  This month, please come join us in the GSRC with Professor Ryan Murphy (Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies) to discuss his topic “Night Fever for a New Movement: Alternative Lifestyles and the Queer Politics of Airline Labor in the 1970s”. Professor Murphy will be discussing his research on a politically mobilized workforce being a necessary foundation not only of a fairer economy, but also of effective queer and feminist activism, as shown through the economics, desires, and strategies of the flight attendant movement.
