Lower Level (018), Kagin Commons

Tea & Topics is an initiative, sponsored by the Gender & Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC) and the WGSS Department, which strives to provide the Macalester community with a monthly event surrounding the theme of gender and sexuality.  Tea & Topics allows faculty and staff to share their work, research, and/or experiences regarding gender and sexuality with Macalester students.  This month please come join us in the GSRC, in the basement of Kagin, with Professor Beth Severy-Hoven (Classics) to discuss her topic “Historical Perspectives: Greek and Roman Sexuality and Gender Differences”.  After a brief presentation on ancient Greek and Roman gender and sexuality systems, questions such as, “Does it matter what people thought so long ago?” and “What does this material from the past present us for thinking about ourselves or the future of our communities?" will be brought up for discussion.

This event is for: Students
