Professor Wessam El Meligi will be speaking at the Shalaam Coalition's weekly meeting on Tuesday, October 30 about his participation and reflections on the Egyptian Arab Spring and its effect on the Middle East.

 Professor Wessam El Meligi has taught Arabic, Comparative Literature, English and Arabic Translation at Pharos University, the University of Alexandria, and the Middlebury College Study Abroad Program in the Middle East before coming to Macalester in the fall of 2012. He is the core of Macalester's Arabic language program, and also helps coordinate January in Egypt.
