Enjoy a walking tour of Stanford University's campus, including the more than 50 sculptures set around the campus. The tour will be led by Marilyn Straka '68 and is about 1.5 miles. It will last approximately four hours (this includes time for lunch). After the walk, you may want to visit the Rodin sculpture garden and the Cantor Museum as well.
The tour will depart from the Main Quad on Serra Mall across from the Oval at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will be at approximately 1 p.m. at the Cantor Museum Cafe (attendees can also eat lunch at the nearby Stanford Shopping Center).
Find information on directions and parking, including a campus map, online here.
If you plan to attend, RSVP to Marilyn via email, firstname.lastname@example.org, or phone, 415-921-1382. Additional directions and parking information will be emailed to those who RSVP. There is no charge for the tour, but gratuity is graciously accepted.
Leland Stanford Jr. University, dedicated to the Stanford's only son, is the 2nd largest campus in the world and, of course, one of the most prestigious. Did you know it is 40 times the size of Harvard? Learn about the Stanford's stock farm and little Leland's miniature railroad around the property. Today it is still lovingly called "The Farm". We will visit the 14th floor of the Hoover Tower for an awesome view and overview of the campus.
