Anton Kuerti Plays Beethoven

Anton Kuerti, born in Vienna, is a world-renowned pianist known for the clarity of his musical vision and his masterful technique. CD Review (London) called him “one of the truly great pianists of this century.”
Kuerti’s distinguished performing career has taken him to nearly 40 countries, including Japan, Russia, and most of Europe. His vast repertoire includes some 50 concertos, including one he composed himself. He is especially famous for his understanding of the works of Beethoven.
Kuerti is a former child prodigy who debuted at age 11 with the Boston Pops Orchestra. He is an Officer of the Order of Canada, and the recipient of several honorary degrees.
He performs an all-Beethoven program in a free solo recital sponsored by the Pulliam Endowment.
