Enjoy a Spring Wildflower Hike with Portland area alumni
- 2:00 PM
Saturday Apr 21, 2012
Gateway Transit Center, 1300 NE 99th Avenue, Portland, Ore.
While it is still rainy and dreary in Portland, by mid-April there is a profusion of wildflowers blooming on the cliffs overlooking the Columbia River. Join Paul Freeman '71 for a wildflower hike in the eastern end of the Columbia River Gorge. The group will meet at the Gateway Transit Center.
Participants need good boots, a windbreaker, and ear protection (a stocking cap or ear muffs). The hike is five miles with about 1,000 feet of elevation gain. The views are great, but the wind is strong much of the time.
