Canoe and camp in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness with other Macalester alumnae!

The first trip, August 16-20 is full.

We’re recreating a treasured tradition from Macalester’s past – canoe and camping trips for women. In the 1940s and 50s, these adventurous women traveled with their fearless phy-ed teacher, Ruth Schellberg, and cherish the memories to this day. Last year, a group of nine women paddled down the Namekagon River and this year, we are excited to explore the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota. See photos from the trip online here.

You do not need any previous canoeing or camping experience to participate.
