Discuss Day After Night with Portland area alumni
- 9:00 PM
Thursday Jan 27, 2011
Hosted by Judy Friedman '71
Set in post World War II Europe, Day After Night tells the story of four young Jewish women who survived the Holocaust and made their way to Israel, only to find themselves prisoners at Atlit, a prison in Palestine run by the British in 1945. Although their stories are different, a friendship is formed through their shared experiences and concerns as they try to navigate their lives in a new country.
The next book selection will be Keeping the Feast by Paula Butturini (date and host TBD).
