Join Seattle-area alumni and friends to hear Karin Ronnow '84 discuss stories from her travels in Pakistan and Afghanistan with Greg Mortenson, author of Three Cups of Tea. Mortenson is also founder of the Bozeman, Montana, Central Asia Institute, which has created community-based schools in remote areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan. The library opens at 10 a.m. Refreshments and breakfast snacks catered by Twelve Baskets will be provided. $10 per person. Register online by Monday, February 15.

As assistant managing editor and chief photographer for the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, Ronnow and Deirdre Eitel created a five-part series documenting the work of Mortenson and Central Asia Institute that proved very popular with readers.  Over 150,000 additional copies of that series were reproduced in a magazine format entitled "Journey of Hope."  Ronnow has since traveled to Pakistan and Afghanistan six times in pursuit of more stories and is now working on the Volume IV of "Journey of Hope."
