1:30 PM   Class of 2008 Senior Send-off Lecture by Adrienne Christiansen
On Campus, Weyerhaeuser Memorial Chapel
The Student Support Committee of the Alumni Board is presenting the Class of 2008 Senior Send-off Lecture, an address by Political Science Professor Adrienne Christiansen to the graduating class. Her talk is titled 'In tonight's news, a Macalester graduate...' Christiansen was selected to give the address by a vote of the seniors. The entire Macalester community is invited. A reception will immediately follow on the lawn outside the chapel.

Chicago-area alumni attend a live taping of NPR's humorous news quiz show, 'Wait, Wait… Don't Tell Me.' The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Alumni meet at 5:30 p.m. for drinks and appetizers at The Grill Room on 33 W. Monroe. To attend with the Macalester group, purchase your ticket(s) to the live taping at the 'Wait, Wait' website here. Tickets for the taping are general seating, but there will be a roped-off area in the auditorium for all who RSVP by emailing Adrian Moran '91.

President Brian Rosenberg cordially invites all faculty, staff, students and alumni to the Ceremonial Ground Breaking for the new Institute for Global Citizenship building. An all-college picnic follows the ceremony.

Dakota County Fairgrounds, 4008 220th Street West, Farmington, Minn.
Macalester students, families and alumni are invited to attend the Minnesota Scottish Fair and Highland Games featuring a caber toss, homemade shortbread and scones, bagpipe bands, highland crafts, highland dance, and men in kilts. Great fun for kids of all ages. Stop by the Macalester Alumni Association tent in the Highland Clans section to meet up with other Mac-ites of all generations. Plan to join us in the Parade of Celts behind the Macalester banner at midday. General admission tickets $15; seniors (65+) $10; children (6 – 15) $5; children (5 & under) no charge.
